We have blankets pouring in from all over the Country. This is so amazing to me. A few weeks ago we decided we want to do a special Christmas Drop. We are hoping to have enough blankets to take to one hospital. My sweet friend Karina dropped off 20 blankets several weeks ago. And they are beautiful!!! Then another darling woman that comes into the salon I work at in Highland dropped off 5 blankets as well. One is quilted. They are beautiful. My Aunt and her choir group are working on more blankets and one of the boys in their group is hoping to be able to do his Eagle Project with us. I am super excited about that. I have 8 brothers all who are Eagle scouts so we are HUGE fans of scouting. If anyone else out there is looking for an Eagle Project and their "boards" will approve this please feel free to do so ;)!
I have a friend who said that there are many quilting and sewing groups out there and she thought it would be fun to send out a challenge to see who could make and donate the most blankets before our next drop (not the Christmas drop) we thought maybe a local fabric store might want to get in on the fun and donate a gift card for the winning group. We want to throw this out there first off to see if anyone is interested.
